The 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle has announced its shows for the 2017-18 season.
The season opens with the Tony award-nominated “Something Rotten!” Sept. 12 through Oct. 1; the 5th’s version of the classic “Ragtime” will run Oct. 13 through Nov. 5; Irving Berlin’s “Holiday Inn,” inspired by the Oscar-winning holiday movie, is Nov. 24 through Dec. 31; the world premiere of the comedy “Intermission! The Musical!” is on the boards Feb. 9 through March 4; the annual partnership with A Contemporary Theatre will be the West Coast premiere of “Ride the Cyclone” from March 9 through May 20, 2018; a new production of Cole Porter’s “Kiss Me, Kate” runs April 6-29 as part of the Seattle Celebrates Shakespeare Festival; and finally, the Northwest premiere of the musical masterpiece “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” will be performed June 1-24.
