Just get to the Everett Sausage Festival — the 35th — this weekend for lots of family-friendly activities such as children’s games, carnival rides and kid-friendly music all done against the backdrop of a Bavarian theme.
The kids games include fishing, free throws, football toss and more and everyone wins a prize. There are also more than 30 arts and crafts booths along with a variety of food booths offering salmon to elephant ears to corn on the cob.
There’s also lots and lots of bratwurst and homemade kraut.
The Bavarian Beer Garden, traditional Bavarian Dinner and Xtreme bingo — nonstop games from open till close — will keep the adults entertained along with something new this year: a wine bar.
On Friday and Saturday inside the beer garden, red and white wines from Spain, Argentina, France, Italy, California and Washington will be served. On Sunday, a sparkling brut from Spain will be served.
For adults, music on the beer garden stage starts Friday with ’80s music of the Spazmatics, blues from the New Blues Brothers and rock hits from The Machine. Music continues Saturday with young country from Latigo Lace, current and classic dance hits from Expertease, rock from No Rules and Lynard Skynard/southern rock from Whiskey River. On Sunday, there’s a jam session with Below Average White Band.
