Through Nov. 6, see “Hook, Line and Sinker,” which is about commercial fishing and draws from Hibulb Cultural Center, Nordic Heritage Museum and private collections. Photos, models, artifacts.

Schack classes include drawing, printmaking, basketry, jewelry and metalsmithing, encaustic, painting, fused glass, blown glass. “Painted Glass: A Northwest Perspective,” curated by Dick Weiss, is exhibited through Nov. 5 and features work by Paul Marioni, Ginny Ruffner, Weiss and others. Teen Nights, which offer a chance to try different art projects, are free and set for 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 10, Dec. 8, Feb. 9, March 16, April 13 and May 11.
County Arts Commission: Six new pieces of art are displayed through December at the Snohomish County government campus, 3000 Rockefeller Ave., Everett, as part of the 2016 Sculpture Exhibition sponsored by the Snohomish County Arts Commission.

Art Loft Sisters at Fisherman’s Market and Grill: Regular business hours at 1032 W. Marine View Drive, Everett. Through Nov. 2, see acrylic paintings by Jerry Newport, whose work as been shown at such places as the Frye Art Museum. Also, Nikki Gardner’s oils are displayed.
Artspace Everett Lofts lobby: 2917 Hoyt Ave., Everett, next to the Schack. On Oct. 22, see recent paintings by Jeannette Reed and artwork by Alutiiq artist Jerry Laktonen. An experienced photographer, Reed has worked in stained glass, polymer clay and acrylic, watercolor and oil paintings. Her eclectic style incorporates different materials and media to forkm a cohesive and colorful statement. Look for the details. Laktonen’s work involves environmental issues in a series of paintings, prints and carvings. He was a fisherman in Alaska when the Exxon Valdez oil spill happened.

Through Nov. 14, see works by encaustic artist Willow Bader and painter Pam Ingalls. Bader’s paintings follow a theme of an evening out with dancing, music food and wine with friends. Ingalls, known for her impressionist oils, shows still life scenes.

June Sekiguchi’s installation “River Run” is displayed through Dec. 8. Inspired by rivers, Sekiguchi’s work involves manipulated material that is pattern based.

This is the third annual joint show by these two artists at Gallery North.

Lynnwood Convention Center: Works by the late Northwest painter Guy Anderson are displayed through a partnership with the Schack Art Center and Gallery Dei Gratia.

The the eighth annual Mukilteo Arts Guild Holiday Art Mart is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 5 at Rosehill. Find art, jewelry, clothing and fine gifts. Proceeds benefit the guild’s high school scholarship fund for graduating seniors interested in fine arts careers.
