McMorris’ historical fiction novel, “Sold on a Monday,” is about a struggling local paper that gains fame snapping photographs of unwanted children with devastating consequences. Greenwood’s “Rust & Stardust,” which is based on a true story, follows a little girl abducted by a man claiming to be an FBI agent who mentally and physically assaults her as they travel from Camden, New Jersey, to San Jose, California. A Novel Affair: The Friends of the Everett Public Library will host A Novel Affair from 7 to 11 p.m. Sept. 22 at the main library, 2702 Hoyt Ave., Everett.
