Author Lanagan to to discuss latest novel

It’s a windswept world where the men go to sea not only to make their livings but also to catch their wives.

It’s fantasy, of course …

The bewitching tale of mermaids and the sea is the latest young adult book by Australian writer Margo Lanagan.

She’ll talk about this latest book, “The Brides of Rollrock Island,” at 7 p.m. Thursday at Barnes &Noble, 19401 Alderwood Mall Parkway, Lynnwood.

Lanagan’s books have earned World Fantasy Awards, Printz Honor Awards and Best Book for Young Adults from the American Library Association.
