Author Tina Bustamante to read, sign debut novel

Teen readers may be interested in meeting author Tina Bustamante as she reads from and signs her debut novel, “As Waters Gone By,” today at the University Book Store at Mill Creek.

The book, set in the Northwest, is about a teenager who is sent to live with her aunt on Orcas Island after her mother dies. What follows is an incrdible summer filled with mystery and surprising relationships.

The author of young adult fiction grew up in the Pacific Northwest but now lives in Chile.

The reading and booksigning is at 5 p.m. today. “As Waters Gone By” lists at $13.99.
