Old Fest Lager is a traditional Oktoberfest bier, a Marzen-style lager that is breadlike with a malty sweetness and firm bitterness.
Paint Your Pooch fundraiser at Whitewall: Marysville’s Whitewall Brewing is hosting a Paint Your Pooch fundraiser from noon to 3 p.m. Sept. 16 at the brewery, 14524 Smokey Point Blvd., Suite 1, Marysville. Skooktoberfest: Arlington’s Skookum Brewery is hosting three Washington breweries for the inaugural Skooktoberfest from noon to 9 p.m. Sept. 23 at the brewery, 17925 59th Ave. NE, Suite A, Arlington. Skookum welcomes Winthrop’s Old Schoolhouse Brewery, Bellingham’s Aslan Brewing and Kirkland’s Chainline Brewing, as well as San Juan Cigars and Salt Blade food truck.
Sedro Woolley Brewfest: The inaugural Sedro Woolley Brewfest will feature a dozen breweries, including Marysville’s Whitewall Brewing, from 2 to 7 p.m. Sept. 23 at Hammer Heritage Square, 118 Ferry St., Sedro Woolley. Carleton Farms Brewfest: Kick off the fall with a brewfest on the Lake Stevens farm. The Carleton Farms Brewfest will feature nearly a dozen local breweries on Sept. 30 at the farm, 630 Sunnyside Blvd. There will be two sessions, from noon to 4 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. Kids are welcome at the farm but not in the beer garden.
