Beer, wine, spirits: Snohomish County booze calendar

Monroe Oktoberfest: Enjoy bingo, brats and beer at the Monroe Oktoberfest at 6 p.m. Oct. 13 at the East County Senior Center, 276 Sky River Parkway, Monroe. Tickets are $20 and include dinner and bingo.

Empty Bowls fundraiser: The Lake Stevens Ankle and Foot Clinic is hosting the Empty Bowls fundraiser to raise money for the Lake Stevens Food Bank from 4 to 8 p.m. Oct. 14 at Team Fitness, 1109 Frontier Circle East. There will be food, wine and beer courtesy of 5 Rights Brewing.

Olympic Peninsula Apple and Cider Festival: Enjoy this tree-to-glass experience at various locations on the Olympic Peninsula from Oct. 13-15. The Hard Cider Tasting Festival features 10 cideries and is from 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 14 at Eaglemount Wine and Cidery. For a list of events, visit thunderbullproductions.com.

Hikes, Bears and Brews: Enjoy a pint of beer and learn how to prevent and respond to a bear encounter at this event from 3 to 8 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Scuttlebutt Brewing taproom, 3314 Cedar St., Everett. Defenders of Wildlife and Washington Trails Association will relay tips on bear response as well as talk about local hikes, outdoor gear and more.

Dash to Diamond Knot: Flying Unicorn Racing is teaming up with Mukilteo’s Diamond Knot Brewing to host Dash to Diamond Knot Oktoberfest 5K, 10K and kids half-mile fun runs on Oct. 21 in Mountlake Terrace. The runs begin and end at Diamond Knot Brewpub @ Mountlake Terrace, 5602 232nd St. SW. For cost and times, visit flyingunicornracing.com/events.

St. Jude’s Knights of Columbus Oktoberfest: Snohomish’s Three Bull Brewing will be pouring at the annual St. Jude’s Knights of Columbus Oktoberfest from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 21 at the church’s parish hall, 10526 166th Ave. NE, Redmond.

Beer and cupcake pairing at SnoTown: Snohomish’s SnoTown Brewing is hosting a beer and cupcake pairing at 3 p.m. Oct. 21 at the brewery, 511 2nd St. The event will feature four beer-infused cupcakes, with each person getting four mini cupcakes and four 5-ounce beers. The event costs $14.

Crux Brewing tasting: Monroe’s Harry’s on Tye is hosting Bend’s Crux Brewing for a brewers night from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 27 at the taproom, 14286 169th Drive SE.

Double Bluff Oktoberfest: The Whidbey Island brewery is hosting its Oktoberfest celebration and second anniversary party noon to 10 p.m. on Oct. 27 and 28. There will be five German-style beers on tap, traditional German food and live music. The brewery is at 112 Anthes Ave., Langley.

Snohomish Brewfest: The seventh annual Snohomish Brewfest is Nov. 3 and 4 at Thomas Family Farm, 9010 Marsh Road. More than 25 local breweries will be pouring beers at the event. There is one session from 6 to 10 p.m. Nov. 3 and two sessions from noon to 4 p.m. and 6 to 10 p.m. Nov. 4. Advance tickets are $30 and $35 at the door, with proceeds going to the Snohomish Senior Center. For more information, visit www.snohobrewfest.com.
