Q: I read that there is to be a Christmas special of “Call the Midwife.” Do you happen to know when that will be shown?

A: Look for it in late December, and be sure to check your local listings. (KCTS will air it at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.)

Q: I would like to know if “Wings” is on DVD or on a TV channel.

A: While I do not know of current reruns of the comedy that originally ran on NBC for eight seasons in 1990-1997, it been released in its entirety on DVD. Still, some sets may be hard to find or expensive.

The first season is also on Amazon Instant Video, Netflix has episodes from all eight seasons, but not every episode.

Q: I was very intrigued by the darkly engaging series “Hannibal” last season; where is it? I cannot find the show listed. Is it returning?

A: The NBC series with Mads Mikkelsen as serial killer Hannibal Lecter and Hugh Dancy as Will Graham, has been renewed for a second, 13-episode run, but that will not air until 2014. I have not seen a specific air date yet.

Q: Why did A&E drop “The Glades”? It certainly wasn’t as bad as most shows on A&E. What has happened to Matt Passmore and Kiele Sanchez?

A: The series certainly helped the network during its four seasons on the air. The Hollywood Reporter noted that it was the network’s first original drama to last more than one season, “establishing the network as a destination for scripted series.”

But it appeared to be a show in decline, especially with the 18-to-49-year-old demographic that many advertises prize. Deadline.com said “year-to-year, ‘Glades’ was down double digits in key demos while ‘Longmire’ posted gains, likely contributing to A&E’s decision to renew ‘Longmire’ and end ‘Glades.’”

As for star Matt Passmore, Deadline reported that he will star in an as-yet-unnamed pilot for USA Network.

“USA had its eye on Passmore for a while but could not lock him in until he had been released from ‘The Glades,’” the website said, I have not seen any recent plans for Sanchez.

Q: I enjoyed viewing the ABC show “Whodunnit?” But I missed the finale because I was out of town and not near a TV. Can you advise me how the show ended? How can I view the final episode?

A: Before I provide ABC’s summary of the final episode of the mystery game, let me issue a spoiler alert. Now, here’s what ABC said of the final moments:

“Kam and Cris are at ‘the finish line’ when they see Lindsey get killed off by an arrow. Cris then admits to killing off 11 straight guests. Kam is the winner of $250,000. He’s shocked that he had worked with the killer the whole time.

“Giles enters the room to give Kam his prize and the golden cuffs to arrest Cris. Two officers escort Cris out of the manor immediately. Giles and Kam are now free to leave the manor. Kam gets a final farewell from the killed-off guests and staff of the manor. He asks Giles to take him home.”

I saw the finale available online at Hulu Plus, which charges a subscription fee, and on Amazon.com, which charges $1.99 to watch an episode online via its Instant Video service.
