‘Cruiser party’ drops anchor at Everett Marina Friday

The 12th Street Basin at the Everett Marina will be teeming with live music, children’s activities and pirates during a three-day celebration Friday through Sunday.

Boaters and landlubbers are invited to the “cruiser party” that includes foods like pizza, shave ice and ice cream, American Indian drumming and dinghy races.

Free hot dogs will be served from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday at West Marine to those wearing a wristband.

David Calhoun will play from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday and from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday.

A drum ceremony will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.

The event is sponsored by Brethren of the Sound and the Port of Everett.

Visitors can take shuttles to the Tulalip Casino. the Seattle Outlets and Cabela’s and the free ferry to Jetty Island is nearby. Tony and the Tigers will play from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday.

An inflatable pirate playhouse will be on site from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and the pirates arrive at 1 p.m. Raffles will go on throughout the day.

A special breakfast Sunday will be served at the Milltown Sailing Association at the North Marina. Tickets are $5, or $20 for a family of five.
