The Arlington Library is mixing up a magic potion to help kids get better grades and have some fun along the way.
Mad scientist Brian Raven will show school-age youngsters how to test and mix various chemicals and make up their own concoctions from 1 to 2 p.m. Oct. 23 at the library.
Just before that, from noon to 1 p.m., parents and kids can take part in a resource demonstration to discover free online tools, tutoring and research sites to help with schoolwork.
Register for these free events online at www.sno-isle.org or call the library at 360-435-3033. The Arlington Library is at 135 N. Washington Ave.
This event is funded by the Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation.
