Charlie is an active guy, looking for a home that will be willing to do some additional training. Charlie has never lived with children, so any kids in the household must be 12 and older. He will most likely chase cats, so a cat-free household is advised, and a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs is necessary. Overall, Charlie will do the best in an active home that will provide him the exercise he needs. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.
All pets are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and given a identifying microchip before they are adopted. Take a look at some of the dogs, cats and other animals that are available for adoption at the shelter now. Here is the previous post featuring animals up for adoption.
If you’re interested in adopting an animal, the shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 425-257-6000.
Erica is a lovely Shepherd. She lived with many other German Shepherds but she will need a meet-and-greet with any resident canines. Any children in the home should be over 10 years old. She will need a feline-free home and she is not suited for apartment living. This girl loves to go on walks and needs an active home. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Gish is an active young senior looking for a new home. She has lived with another dog and done well. She will need a feline-free home and plenty of daily activities to keep her happy and healthy. Gish will need secure confinement when left alone, because she likes to take off on little adventures. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Kaiser is a cool guy looking for a home. He has never lived with kids, but seems to do well with them. Children in the house must be 8 or older. He has lived with cats and seems to enjoy them. A meet-and-greet with any resident dogs will be necessary. Overall, this is a great dog who needs a loving home. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Willy is a wonderful family dog who is going to require a lot of exercise — if he doesn’t get enough he gets bored and will chew on things! Willy gets along with other dogs (but will need a meet-and-greet) and has lived with cats (with proper introductions). Willy would be great with kids 7 and up. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
