Halloween: There’s plenty going on this weekend. Here are some ideas to get you started.

Something sweet: A Wilton cake decorating instructor will walk you through a variety of decorating techniques. You’ll learn to make fun cupcakes for kids and more elegant treats for adults. Participants will get to decorate four or five cupcakes, and can bring them home along with several recipes. The event is for those 12 years old and older. It’s from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday in Mill Creek. Call 425-745-1891 to register. $28 for Mill Creek residents, $32 for others.
Extreme racing: The “toughest racing on two wheels” returns to Everett on Saturday. EnduroCross off-road motorcycle riders will take their extreme racing to Comcast Arena for a one-night show at 7:30 p.m. The sport gives off-road motorcycle racers the challenge of going over obstacles including rocks, boulders, logs, sand, mud and even special features such as giant tires and a water hole. Fuzzy: Fiber Fusion Northwest is Saturday and Sunday and the Evergreen State Fairgrounds. There will be fiber processing demonstrations, educational displays, fiber arts classes, an alpaca fleece show, mohair fleece show, and a variety of vendors. You can also bring your spinning wheel and knitting and hang out with other fiber artists. The event is free. Find more information here.
For the dogs: The Anchor Pub in Everett will present Dogtober Fest on Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. there will be a trivia contest, food, prizes and more. The Anchor now has a full kitchen and you can try out their food. The event is a fundraiser for ARF and Scrub-A-Mutt. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area if the weather is nice. Catch a game: Sunday is the Sounders’ last regular season home game. They face FC Dallas at 6 p.m. There are still tickets available. Find more details or buy tickets here.
