Have skin checked before summer sun returns

With spring technically here and summer not far behind, we might be thinking about our pale, Pacific Northwest skin and how best to protect it.

Why not start with a thorough examination?

The Providence Regional Cancer Partnership is offering its annual skin screening for people who are not under the care of a dermatologist.

This screening is free. The exam is done by a qualified provider and involves the full body to assess for any worrisome moles or lesions.

The exam takes less than 10 minutes. A list of referral physicians will be available for those who need follow-up care.

The free screenings will be held from 8 a.m. to noon May 5 at Providence Regional Cancer Partnership, Third Floor Medical Oncology Department, 1717 13th St., Everett.

For more information or to register, call Lynda Oehlsen at 425-297-5536.
