The Herald’s film critic Robert Horton scored well on his list of Academy Award predictions. Have a look at http://www.heraldnet.com/life/picks-predictions-for-whats-sure-to-be-a-lively-2017-oscars.
His only errors were for Best Director and Best Animated Feature, though he mentioned the winners as possibilities in his predictions story.
His top winning prediction was “Moonlight” for the Best Picture award.
“I usually do pretty well on Oscar predictions, which is not necessarily a compliment, since it means I understand how Hollywood thinks,” Horton said. “But almost nobody predicted “Moonlight” — all of the LA bigshots picked “La La Land” — so I get to crow about that at least.”
Horton called the fouled-up announcement of Best Picture a crazy ending to the show Sunday night.
