Crafting die-hards keep busy year-round, but for more casual creators, fall is officially the season.

If you need a little inspiration, check out the many classes for kids and adults at local craft stores.

Class topics in October include beading, jewelry making, painting, knitting, sewing, scrapbooking and cake decorating, among others.

Registration and materials fees typically apply in hands-on classes.

Be sure to check also with local scrapbooking, fabric and yarns shops, too, for even more classes.

Local nurseries and garden centers will be offering wreath-making and other holiday craft classes. See The Herald’s Home &Garden calendar on Thursdays for garden class listings.
