Born in South Korea and educated at Juilliard in New York City, the members of the trio — cellist Maria, pianist Lucia and violinist Angella — are redefining the art of chamber music.

Heart by Heart: The band, with two members of the original Heart, drummer Mike Derosier and bassist Steve Fossen, along with lead vocalist Somar Macek, guitarist Lizzy Daymont, guitarist Randy Hansen and keyboardist Bob Rivers, 8 p.m. Jan. 10, Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett. Tangoheart: An evening of passionate music, lively narrative and dance performance, 7 p.m. Jan. 11, Camano Center, 606 Arrowhead Road, Camano Island. Tangoheart is dedicated to the performance of authentic Argentine tango, from its golden age through the modern era. The group includes Bertram Levy, bandoneon and leader; Andy Carr of Camano, piano; Ruthie Dornfield, violin; Dorothy Shapiro, viola; and Todd Gowers, contrabass. TangoFusion Dance Company will perform under the direction of Patty Leverett. A complementary chocolate buffet is hosted by cookbook author and food blogger Patti Carr. Admission is $20; students with ID get in free. Advance tickets available by calling 360-387-0222.

Willamette University Chamber Choir and Willamette Singers: 7 p.m. Jan. 14 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6215 196 St. SW, Lynwood. Choirs from Bothell and Mountainview high schools also will perform in the classical portion of the concert. The concert will open with a vocal jazz performance by the Willamette Singers, followed by the high school groups and the Willamette Chamber Choir. The concert is free and open to the public, although a goodwill donation is encouraged.

Martha Redbone Roots Project: 7:30 p.m. Jan. 15, Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N., Edmonds. Tickets are $29, $24 or $19, and $15 for youth/students. The indie-soul diva is an Independent Music Award-winning musician of Cherokee, Choctaw, Shawnee and African-American descent. She has established a solid history of performing, educating and mentoring musicians across North America.

Blue Oyster Cult with Medicine Hat: 8 p.m. Jan. 17, Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett. Call for tickets, 425-258-6766.

Singer and songwriter Michael Tomlinson: Performance is 7 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Tim Noah Thumbnail Theatre, 1211 Fourth St., Snohomish. Tickets are $25 at www.brownpapertickets.com or at the door.

Simon Thomas Jacobs: The first concert in the 20th anniversary Trinity Artists at the Organ series, 7 p.m. Jan. 18, Trinity Lutheran Church, 6215 196th St. SW, Lynnwood. Jacobs is an award-winning organ scholar and artist diploma student at Oberlin College in Ohio. Suggested donation of $15. Seniors and students pay as able. Trinity’s organ is noted for its glorious sound.

Cascade Symphony Orchestra: “Hamlet” program, 7:30 p.m. Jan. 19, Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N., Edmonds. Program includes Mozart’s Overture to “Don Giovanni,” Tchaikovsky’s “Hamlet” Fantasy Overture, Enesco’s Roumanian Rhapsody No. 1 and soloist Angelo Rondello performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.1. Kareem Kandi jazz trio: 7 to 9 p.m. Jan. 21, Camano Center, 606 Arrowhead Road, Camano Island. Tickets $20 for adults. Students with ID admitted free.

Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra: The group performs music by Quincy Jones and Ray Charles, 8 p.m. Jan. 23, Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N., Edmonds. The concert features vocalist Reggie Goings and Hammond B-3 organist Delvon Lamarr. Tickets are $34 general, $32 for seniors and $10 for youth. Call 425-275-9595.

Curtis Salgado: The Everett native and award-winning vocalist/songwriter/harmonica icon performs at 8 p.m. Jan. 16 at the Triple Door, 216 Union St., Seattle. Call 206-838-4333 for tickets, $25 to $32.

Marc Cohn: Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter of the hit “Walking in Memphis” performs at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 24 at Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N. For tickets, call the box office at 425-275-9595. Cohn combines the precision of a brilliant tunesmith with the passion of a great soul singer.
