Kate Wirth and the Overton Berry Trio: Fundraiser concert for the family of the late Michael Alcayaga, who went to Cascade High School; 7:30 p.m. Aug. 9, Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater, 1211 Fourth St., Snohomish. Tracy Alan Moore as Elvis: With guest band Rising Sun, the concert is at 8 p.m. Aug. 9 at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave. Tickets range from $12 to $25. Call 425-258-6766. Proceeds benefit Camp Phoenix and the Burned Children Recovery Foundation. The concert also is sponsored by the Everett Fire Department.
Taiko drums: Inochi Taiko, one of the finest taiko drumming troupes in the Northwest, will play a free concert at 2 p.m. Aug. 9 on the lawn at the Evergreen Branch Library, 9512 Evergreen Way, Everett. Taiko drumming has ancient roots in Japan. Modern taiko requires intense physical and mental training.
Taste of Music the seventh annual Snohomish Taste of Music festival is Aug. 15 through 17 in historic downtown Snohomish. Hear blues, jazz and funk, from artists such as Bakin Phat, Staxx Brothers and Junk Belly. Tickets are $5 a day. Details are at www.tasteofmusic.org.

Everett’s Music at the Waterfront: The free summer concert series is 6:30 to 8:30 Saturday evenings, 2 to 4 Sunday afternoons and 6:30 to 8:30 Thursday evenings at the Port Gardner Landing, 1700 W. Ecumenical Summer Choir: Lutheran Choral Association of Snohomish County invites singers of all denominations to join in from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays through Sept. 1 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 9320 Meadow Way, Everett. A concert in early September is planned. The choir bridges the gap for singers whose choirs are off for the summer and start up again in the fall. The intent is to support, rather than compete with area churches, by keeping voices exercised, minds challenged, and spirits lifted over the summer. Friday Music Jam Sessions: For people with disabilities and their friends, the Village Music and Art’s Friday jam sessions, featuring live music by Jon Dalgarn and Voices of the Village, are 1 to 3 p.m. Fridays at 338 N.
