Does a boa go with Gore-Tex? High heels with crampons? Round up your posse and head to REI Alderwood on Thursday for the free Diva Night for women only.

You can wander around munching on chocolate and learning about outdoor sports. We dare you to try a pinnacle climb.

Check out the latest gear and see if you can wiggle your toes into a pair of Vibram Five Fingers, those monkey-feet-looking running shoes.

They say there will be prizes, too.

The evening includes clinics on women’s health, fitness, nutrition and traveling solo.

Show up at REI between 6 and 8:30 p.m. Thursday at REI in Alderwood mall, 3000 184th St., Lynnwood. You can register (encouraged but not required) online at www.rei.com/alderwood, or call 425-640-6200.
