Great music returns to Whidbey Island this summer with the sixth annual American Roots Music Series at Deception Pass State Park. The free concerts are scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturdays beginning July 7.

The American Roots music series celebrates Washington’s diverse cultures and is sponsored by the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission Folk Arts in the Parks Program.

Weather permitting, the performances will take place at the West Beach amphitheater on the Whidbey Island side of the park. If it’s raining, performances move to East Cranberry Lake picnic shelter.

A Discover Pass is required to attend the concerts.
