Shredding sensitive personal papers can take hours, especially when we let them pile up, and just tossing them is gambling with identity theft.
Here’s an easy way out of that paper mess: The Lynn-wood High School FCCLA (Future Family Career and Communty Leaders of America) is sponsoring a Shred-A-Thon Saturday at Mill Creek Town Center.
Bring your boxes and bags of documents from noon to 4 p.m. to the Central Market parking lot and watch them go through the shredding truck.
The club is asking for a donation of $5 to $10 per box or bag to help them take part in regional, state or national competitions.
Besides a clean desk and a clear conscience, you will receive discount coupons from local businesses.
Mill Creek town Center is a half-mile north of 164th Avenue SW and Bothell-Everett Highway in Mill Creek.
