See classic cars on Everett waterfront

Big cars. Little cars. Hot rods. Street rods.

Whatever floats your boat will be at Saturday’s Wheels on the Waterfront Fall Classic Car Show.

“We’re shooting for 300 cars,” said Daun Brown, event spokesman.

The car show was created last year to promote the Port of Everett marina and waterfront. It also benefits a charity. Funds raised go to Providence Foundation’s Cancer Patient Assistance Fund.

It’s not all about hot cars. There’s also cold beer.

The event includes a Scuttlebutt Brewery beer garden, live music, food, vendors and drawings for more than 100 prizes.

Awards will be given to cars in 21 different classifications.

“It’s a really classy and first-rate car show,” Brown said.

Last year’s event raised $1,700.

“Our goal is $5,000 this year,” he said. “We hope to write a big check.”

Next year the plan is to add boats to the show.
