50 years ago (1962)

Sharri Tomlinson, president of the Youth Auxiliary to East Crest Hills Community Club and Diane James were busy decorating the tree for their upcoming Christmas party. Other officers of the club were Jim Shifler, vice president; Diane Dubuque, secretary, and Susan Helaas, treasurer.

New officers for Crystal Lodge No. 122, Free and Accepted Masons to be installed in Marysville Masonic Temple were E.A. Kiefer, Vestal D. Walker, Harry Woodruff, Milford Carr, Theodore H. Burns, C. Stanley Wood, Murrel J. Hurt, Stanley W. Schaefer, Max McCauley, Lawrence A. McDonough, Eugene C. Gunther and Thomas M. Marr, Sr.

25 years ago (1987)

At Snohomish, the Panthers’ defense came alive in the second half, holding Mount Vernon to six points. Snohomish girls basketball team improved its overall record to 6-1. Center Heather Aliulis led the Panthers with 14 point. Sheri Posey pulled down a team-high eight rebounds. Jenny Birks had five steals.

Seniors Adam France and Craig Iversen extended their consecutive pin streaks to six as Marysville-Pilchuck won all but three matches in a 51-8 victory over Cheney. Dean Conner, Matt Ballard and Joe Peterson also had pins for the Tomahawks.
