50 years ago (1962)
Hansinee Jacobsen today was observing her 90th birthday and looking forward to an open house at her home, 1232 Hoyt Ave., given by her son Thorolf Jacosbsen. Born in Norway, she came to Everett in 1920. She was a long active member of the Daughters of Norway.
Dr. Thomas Subitch had joined the firm of Medical Anesthetists Associated it was announced by his fellow doctors in the organization. The association’s offices were in the Medical-Dental Building. He was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine. With his wife and their three sons Dr. Subitch made his home in Mukilteo.
25 years ago (1987)
Camp Fire, a club for all reasons, was opened to boys and girls in kindergarten through high school. They were hosting information nights later this month at Lake Stickney and Mukilteo elementary schools.
Builder’s Aggregate Supply at 18601 Hwy 99, Lynnwood, was selling railroad ties for $4.95 and up. They also advertised bulldozing, river rock, landscaping supplies, red lava rock, red cinders, masonry sand and cement and crushed rock. Their ad had a coupon for fine bark.
