50 years ago (1962)

Everett Kart Club was holding races tomorrow on its new and extended track at Paine Field. The following new officers were elected: Ray Ward, president; Marvin Sjolin, vice president; Pat Langlois, secretary; Louise Blount, treasurer, and Elden Williams, Rawlee Ridgeway and Ted Leicht, trustees.

Cheery Chipmonks 4-H Club in Intercity held its meeting in the home of Barbara Butner where they checked their record books and gave reports on their awards at the 4-H Fair and at the Evergreen State Fair. Four members exhibited at both and received 12 blue, 18 red and two white ribbons. The next meeting would be next week at the home of Phyllis Fobes.

25 years ago (1987)

Emerson Computer Power and A.D. Electronics recently moved to Koll Canyon Park in the Technology Corridor. Emerson supplied uninterruptible power systems, while A.D. Electronics sold electric components. Both offices took up a combined space of approximately 3,900 square feet.

Windermere Real Estate recently opened a new office at 303 Fifth Ave. S. in Edmonds. The new office, Windermere’s 28th in Western Washington, was managed by broker Hugh Hoff.
