50 years ago (1962)

Included among the recent additions to the board of directors of the Snohomish County Boys Club was Cmdr. Eugene Mulkoff. The Navy officer was in charge of Everett’s Naval Reserve Armory at 23rd Street and Bayside.

George L. Siegner, graduate of Everett High School’s class of 1961, won an appointment to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. He had just completed his first year as an apprentice electrician at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton.

25 years ago (1987)

A portrait sat on a shelf in the Rev. Larry Warren’s study at Everett’s Faith United Methodist Church, where he was pastor. Warren and his wife, the Rev. Bonnie Chandler-Warren were dressed in clerical robes. He recently received his doctorate of ministry degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary and she earned a master’s of divinity degree from the Vancouver School of Theology.

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish was celebrating the opening of its new church at 2316 180th St. S.E., Bothell, with a Mass tomorrow. For the past three years the congregation had been worshipping at the Market Place shopping center.
