In the last week, The Lumineers played a sold out show at Neumos, an End Session and Chase Jarvis session all in Seattle. They also released their highly anticipated, self titled, debut album. For anybody who has seen or heard The Lumineers in the last few years this album has been a long time coming and has been well worth the wait.
Local photographer David Klayton was lucky enough to be at the Chase Jarvis Live session with The Lumineers and was able to catch up with drummer Jeremiah briefly to ask about the new record and what’s next for the band.
David: You guys just released your record today, which was a long time coming. What’s the new goal, What are you guys gonna do next and what are you guys most looking forward to?
Jeremiah: We’re working on our second album as we speak, and we’re really excited to play all these shows for the people and finally hear this album that’s taken about ten months. This is our day in the sun and we want people to enjoy our music and enjoy the ride while it’s here.
The Lumineers new album is great and is pretty much all I’ve listened to all week. In honor of it’s release our song of the week is their song “Ho Hey”. The official video below has been making the rounds and has even aired on CMT recently.
If you want to see The Lumineers performance on Chase Jarvis live you are in luck because the whole thing is on YouTube and can be seen here.
