Broadway at The Paramount, which has a loyal following on Twitter, is introducing a new promotion that will earn patrons free tickets to “August: Osage County,” playing at The Paramount from Oct. 27 through Nov. 1.
Here’s how it will work:
For the remaining Tuesdays through October, a scene from “August: Osage County” will be tweeted live at 2 p.m. — line by line — to followers of @BroadwaySeattle.
After each Twitter Trailer, followers will be directed to re-tweet a phrase that qualifies them for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the show. The winner will be selected at 3 p.m. that day and others can try again the following week.
Michelle Haines, marketing manager of Broadway Across America, conceived Twitter Trailers with the hope of introducing Seattle audiences to a show they may not be familiar with.
“We feel that once people get a chance to experience a preview of “August: Osage County” it will become clear why they must see the show that has been called the most exciting new American play Broadway has seen in years,” Haines said in a prepared statement.
Reminders of the Twitter Trailers will be sent throughout the month with the “hashtag” #AOC included. This will allow followers to watch previous trailers and track future trailers.
