The giant airships of steampunk are landing in Everett.
The steampunk spectacle “Spring in Sepia” will come to the Historic Everett Theater on Saturday and with it two hot names in steampunk music.
Steam Powered Giraffe brings infectious melodies and Abney Park reciprocates with haunting music taking you, they promise, to a place of bubbling boilers, gentlemen with mustaches, clockwork corsets, steam, leather and oil.
Steam Powered Giraffe is a five-part harmony band from San Diego and have played for the past two summers at The San Diego Zoo, and toured across America performing at science fiction and gaming conventions, according to press material.
Abney Park musicians are veterans of the steampunk scene, touring the globe with an industrial sound melded with costume and retrofitted instruments.
“Spring in Sepia” will be presented at 7 p.m. Saturday at Historic Everett Theater, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett.
Tickets are $25. Call 425-258-6766 or go to www.etix.com or in person.
