It’s time for the mechanics to change out the valve gaskets on the dual R-2600 engines of the B-25 Mitchell bomber at the Flying Heritage Collection.
Over time the gaskets get hard and brittle, and when they do, oil sneaks past them and you end up with a drippy mess. The new gaskets are soft and squishy — perfect for making that seal.
After making the switch on one, we have … let’s see, 14 times two … times two again … only 55 more to go!
