The best TV shows this week

Tonight

We get the chills just thinking about “Siberia.” It’s actually a drama about reality show contestants fighting to stay alive in a remote Russian territory, where things go terribly awry. 10 p.m., NBC.

Tuesday

“Nine for IX” is a new documentary series that celebrates 40 years of Title IX, which made more opportunities available to female athletes. The opener, “Venus vs.,” looks at how Venus Williams fought for equality in prize money on the pro tennis circuit. 8 p.m., ESPN.

Wednesday

Enjoy these new “Futurama” episodes while you can in this, its final season. Tonight, Bender strives to be just like his idol, a folk singer who has been to jail 30 times. 10 p.m., Comedy Central.

Thursday

Here’s our big-bang theory: Fireworks are pretty cool on TV. The “Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular” allows you to enjoy Independence Day festivities from the comfort of your couch, along with performances by Mariah Carey, Taylor Swift and Tim McGraw. 8 p.m., NBC.

More pyrotechnics are on display during “A Captitol Fourth.” Tom Bergeron hosts a celebration featuring, among others, Barry Manilow, Megan Hilty and Scotty McCreery. 8 p.m., PBS.

Friday

On “Jessie,” Luke (Cameron Boyce) tries to quit-cold koala by spending a night without his prized stuffed animal. We sense a personal crisis in the making. 8 p.m., Disney Channel.

Saturday

The few of us still mourning the premature cancellation of “666 Park Avenue” can still tap into its creepy vibe as the show burns off its final episodes. Tonight brings Jane and Henry’s engagement party-and more spooky stuff. 9 p.m., ABC.
