The Ugandan Orphans Choir, a group of children from developing countries sponsored by Childcare Worldwide, will dance and sing African songs and Christian hymns accompanied by authentic instruments in two performances in the Everett area.

The lively and inspirational group will give a concert at Imagine Children’s Museum at 1 p.m. Saturday, and at 7 p.m. Feb. 15 at Grace Lutheran Church.

The children are all orphaned by war or illness. The main objective of the tour is to raise awareness of the need for sponsorship for children like themselves in developing countries.

The museum performance Saturday is included with admission, which is $7.95. Children younger than 1 are admitted free. Following the 40-minute concert, the choir children will meet with museum visitors.

Imagine Children’s Museum is at 1502 Wall St., Everett. Call 425-258-1006 or go to imaginecm.org for more information.

The concert at 7 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church on Feb. 15 will be preceded by a dinner featuring African foods at 5:45 p.m. Donations to the choir are welcome and information about sponsoring a Ugandan child will be available. The church is at 8401 Holly Drive, Everett.
