Handel’s “Messiah” Sing Along: Join the Trinity Episcopal Choir at 2 p.m. Dec. 13 at the church, 2301 Hoyt Ave., Everett. All are invited. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. Scores available, or bring your own. Professional soloists, chamber orchestra and section leaders are participating. $12 suggested donation.

Zachary Buker: The University of Washington singer is working on his master’s degree vocal music. He offers a free recital at 7 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Northwest Music Hall at the Everett Mall.

“Home for the Holidays”: Navy Band Northwest presents its free Christmas concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 16 at Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave. The performance will feature their jazz ensemble and rock band “Passage.” Music will include classics such as “Frosty the Snowman” as done by Harry Connick Jr., “Please Come Home for Christmas” as done by the Eagles, and many more timeless holiday songs. There will be a Santa Claus appearance and the United States Marine Corps will be accepting donations for Toys-for-Tots at the event. Seating is first-come, first-served. Seattle Men’s Chorus is “Home for the Holidays”: Director Dennis Coleman is pulling out all his “naughty and nice” song favorites and preparing for his final holiday season conducting the chorus. Featured songs include SMC’s “Ave Maria” and “Silent Night,” as well as new tunes such as “Text Me Merry Christmas.” The chorus sings at 8 p.m. Dec. 19 at Everett Civic Auditorium, 2415 Colby Ave. Ticket prices range from $25 to $45. Celtic Christmas Music Concert by The Beggar Boys and Abigail Lennox: Holiday music from Ireland, Wales and Scotland, 3 p.m. Dec. 19, Edmonds United Methodist Church, 828 Caspers St., Edmonds. The Beggar Boys were founded in Boston in 2001 and have performed across the country. Lennox sings lead vocals and plays the bodhran drum, Henry Lebedinsky of Edmonds is on guitar and bouzouki, Larry Young plays fiddle and sings and Michael Albert plays fiddle, Irish flute and sings.

Mark O’Connor’s “Appalachian Christmas”: The world’s best fiddler, who grew up in Mountlake Terrace, brings his talented ensemble to Seattle at 8 p.m. Dec. 19 at the Moore Theater. Ticket prices are in the $50 range. Go to stgpresents.org.

Jeffrey Cohan: Classical flutist Jeffrey Cohan will perform at 7 p.m. Dec. 21 at the Floyd Norgaard Cultural Center, 27130 102nd Ave. NW, in Stanwood. Cohan will be joined by the soprano vocalist Linda Tsatsanis, Martin Lund and Tom Collier. Suggested donation is $15 but students are free. Messiah Sing Along: St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church sponsors this 8th annual community event at 7 p.m. Dec. 29 at the church, 1318 Highway 532, Camano Island. Directed by Steven Jensen and accompanied by the Overman Family Orchestra, the concert is a sing-along open to all. No charge to participate, but an offering will be taken. Reception to follow.

Strutz: Arguably Snohomish County’s best classic rock cover band, Arlington-based Strutz plays a New Years Eve show at 9 p.m. Dec. 31 at the Medallion Hotel, 16710 Smokey Point Blvd. Bad Company bassist Lynn Sorensen will join the band.
