EVERETT — A woman was taken to a Seattle hospital Sunday night following a report of an accidental shooting southeast of Everett.
The incident was reported around 10:30 p.m. in the 12100 block of Andrew Sater Road.
The woman, 34, suffered a gunshot wound to her stomach. She was treated by medics at the scene and transported to Harborview Medical Center, said Lt. Rob Palmer of the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
“Her condition is not known at this time, but she was conscious and alert when first contacted,” Palmer said in a press release.
Witnesses told deputies that a man had been visiting and a gun went off when he set a bag down.
“He left the location and has not yet been located,” Palmer said. “It is not believed that he poses any continuing danger to the public.”
