GRESHAM, Ore. — Authorities say a light-rail train in Gresham struck and killed two people, one of whom was in a wheelchair.
The Oregonian reports that the victims were a 66-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man. It was not immediately clear whether they knew each other.
Gresham police officer Adam Baker says the victims were walking in a crosswalk from one platform to another when they were struck by the train. Investigators were interviewing witnesses on the platform and the TriMet MAX train.
