SEATTLE — There are two finalists for the job of directing the Washington state ferry fleet.
The Transportation Department says they are interim director Capt. George Capacci and former Pierce County Executive John Ladenburg.
The two will be at community open houses Monday evening in Friday Harbor at the Friday Harbor House and Tuesday evening in Bremerton at the Norm Dicks Center.
Transportation Department spokesman Lars Erickson told the Kitsap Sun the state hopes to make an offer by June 20. The new director will replace David Moseley who resigned in April.
Washington State Ferries says it is the largest ferry system in the world, moving 22 million passengers a year over Puget Sound.
