BELLINGHAM — Two woman accused of giving a Bellingham man a heroin overdose to take his bank card are charged with second-degree murder.
The Bellingham Herald reports Whatcom County prosecutors filed murder charges against Lucy Lillian Pearson, 33, and Nichole Star Coggins, 27, because the man died in the commission of another felony — the theft.
The former Western Washington University student, William Viktor Litvin, 19, was found dead of an overdose in early October in Franklin Park in Bellingham.
Court papers say an ATM photo showed the two women withdrawing cash on his bank card. They are accused of spending more than $1,000 in two days.
Pearson appeared in court Monday and was ordered held on $1 million bail. Coggins is jailed in Yakima.
