$211,000 in cash found in University Place storage

TOLEDO — Police investigating illegal sales of pain pills found $211,000 in cash in a storage unit at University Place.

Detectives from Bremerton and Poulsbo who have been investigating Howard Earl Thomas also found $8,000 in cash, about 200 oxycodone pills and a handgun at his University Place home Wednesday when they served a search warrant.

The Kitsap Sun reported that Thomas was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, intent to deliver and unlawful possession of a firearm as a felon.
