EDMONDS — Three south Snohomish County men were arrested Wednesday morning in connection with a burglary in Edmonds.

A burglary alarm went off about 3 a.m. at a business in the 9600 block of Firdale Avenue, Edmonds police Sgt. Mike Blackburn said.

An officer found a Brier man, 30, walking away from the area and carrying a portable two-way radio. The officer could hear urgent male voices on the radio talking about the police response to the burglary, Blackburn said.

The Brier man also was using a stopwatch function on his cellphone, and the stopwatch apparently had been started at the same time as the burglary, Blackburn said.

Two other men were found nearby and also arrested. The Brier man, a 27-year-old from Edmonds and a 31-year-old from Lynnwood all were booked into jail for investigation of burglary.

Police have identified a fourth suspect, but he had not been arrested as of Wednesday afternoon.
