3-year-old dies in fall from Seattle apartment

SEATTLE — A 3-year-old boy who fell from a third-story apartment window in Seattle died of his injuries.

The King County Medical Examiner’s Office says Hark Han suffered skull fractures and injuries to his spleen and kidney.

Police say he was playing Saturday afternoon when he climbed on a table, pushed out a screen and fell about 25 feet. He landed on a concrete sidewalk.

KOMO reports his mother was in the kitchen and his father was sleeping at the time.

The boy’s death was ruled an accident.
