TACOMA — Several people are reported injured after an SUV crashed into the Tacoma Food Co-op.
Tacoma Deputy Fire Chief Faith Mueller said a female driver hit the store’s main entrance shortly before 8 p.m. Thursday.
KOMO-TV reported three injured customers and the driver were taken to a hospital. Their condition was not known.
Police spokesman Mark Fulghum said the driver may have had some sort of medical issue.
Co-op general manager Henri Parren told The News Tribune that the driver appeared to pass out behind the wheel and drove straight through the front door.
