FERNDALE — A charge against the former treasurer for parent-teacher organizations at two Ferndale schools was dismissed after she paid $4,000 in restitution.
The Bellingham Herald reported that Teresa Souve was charged with unlawful possession of payment instruments. Court papers say she admitted using money to pay her own bills.
A prosecutor, Dona Bracke, said the case was dismissed after restitution because there were problems with witness memory and sorting out checks that were three to seven years old.
