Accident snarls northbound I-5 in Lynnwood

LYNNWOOD — A multiple-vehicle accident closed all but one northbound lane of I-5 Friday aftenoon, creating long delays for traffic between Seattle and Everett.

The accident took place at 3:05 p.m. near 44th Ave. W and involved at least three vehicles, Washington State Patrol Trooper Mark Francis said.

One person suffered minor injuries and was transported to a hospital, Francis said.

Most the accident had been cleared by 4 p.m., although traffic remained heavy.
