EVERETT — Homeland Security agents arrested three men Monday after large amounts of heroin and methamphetamine were found in their south Everett apartment.
Agents and police officers watched the trio — ages 26, 35 and 37 — come and go from the apartment for about a month. The apartment was in the 1000 block of 112th Street SE. Agents believe they were headed to “covert meetings,” according to a probable cause affidavit.
On Nov. 7, the 35-year-old drove to an auto parts store in the 11000 block of 19th Avenue SE.
He carried a plastic bag over to a man in a white pickup truck, according to court papers. Agents saw the man hand the suspect an envelope.
A Washington State Patrol trooper pulled over the pickup shortly after the exchange. A passenger reportedly was found in possession of heroin.
Agents searched the apartment Monday where they found a “large quantity” of heroin, meth and money, according to court papers. The three men reportedly told agents the drugs were from Mexico and were to be sold in Snohomish County.
