Arlington raid connected to DEA drug investigation

ARLINGTON — Police activity in the 9900 block of Highway 530 near Arlington on Tuesday was in connection with a federal drug investigation.

The Drug Enforcement Administration was assisted by local police in the operation. A DEA spokeswoman said no additional information would be released Tuesday.

Local police asked media to refrain from reporting information during the operation. They said they were not permitted to disclose details about the federal case.

The DEA also was running an operation Tuesday in the 9900 block of 272nd Street NW. Officials would not discuss whether the two raids were related.
