Everett: EvCC sets summer hours
Everett Community College will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday and closed Fridays starting next week and running through Aug. 30.
The college will be closed for Labor Day on Sept. 2 and return to eight-hour days starting Sept. 3.
This is the college’s fifth year of switching to a four-day work week during the summer, with employees working four 10-hour days.
The four-day weeks have saved thousands in utility costs. In 2012, the college’s utility bills were $18,000 lower compared with 2008, the last summer the college was open five days per week.
