Camano Island: Landscape for privacy

People can learn new ways of landscaping to provide privacy or to screen less-desirable views as an alternative to fences and single-row evergreens at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Camano Multipurpose Center, 141 East Camano Drive.

Mary Archambault of The Plant Farm at Smokey Point plans to offer ideas about creating attractive multilayered borders and hedgerows with a combination of trees, shrubs and groundcovers.

The event is offered by the Camano Wildlife Habitat Project and sponsored by Friends of Camano Island Parks as part of the Island County watershed project.
