Open house for Camano pet shelter
The Camano Animal Shelter Association plans an open house celebrating its 15th anniversary from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 26*. Become a member and learn about volunteer opportunities. Bring your cat or dog for a $20 microchip. Cats must be in a carrier and dogs on leashes. More info: 360-387-1902.
Everett: Dogtober Fest on tap
The second annual Dogtober Fest is planned from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Irishmen, 2923 Colby Ave. A $5 cover charge/donation includes a trivia card and a door-prize ticket. Trivia begins at 2 p.m. Teams of five or less will compete using their knowledge of beer and dogs. Each member of the winning team will win a bag of goodies. Additional door prize tickets will be available for purchase. Proceeds will be split between Everett’s Animal Rescue Foundation and Scrub-A-Mutt’s SAM’s Fund.
