TACOMA — Tacoma police have arrested a man in the death of another man found stabbed in an alley in the city’s Hilltop area.
An anonymous tip directed police to the body at about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday. The victim, believed to be in his 50s, was not immediately identified.
Police spokesman Mark Fulghum says the arrested man, described as in his 40s, was booked into jail for investigation of second-degree murder. He was not immediately identified either.
Fulghum says the two men knew each other, had a fight and one was stabbed. The nature of the dispute wasn’t immediately known.
The spokesman said the woman who made the anonymous call about the body later contacted detectives.
