DES MOINES — A 44-year-old man has been arrested in the death of a man found fatally shot in an abandoned house south of Seattle.
The Seattle Times reported that detectives arrested the suspect at a Des Moines jail Thursday, where he was in custody on unrelated charges.
Police say George Brown, 29, was found dead in January in the vacant house frequented by a group of homeless people in Des Moines’ Pacific Ridge neighborhood.
Des Moines Police spokesman Sgt. Doug Jenkins says the two men knew each other from the street and stayed at the same places together but no other connection between them is known.
